If there’s one thing I’ve learned over the last year, it’s this: creating a home that truly feels like you does not happen all at once. It’s not about rushing through a bunch of Pinterest boards or trying to keep up with what everyone else is doing. It’s about making thoughtful decisions, celebrating progress, no matter how slow, and giving yourself permission to pivot when life throws curveballs. And trust me, life has definitely been ‘lifing’ lately.
Y’all, it’s DONE! The backyard is officially complete, and I am just over here smiling like I’ve got the best seat in the house, because now, I actually do.
Whew, I finally took the trip I’d been talking about for years. I traded in my overpacked to-do list for a suitcase and headed overseas for my first international vacation and first cruise ever. And what a ride it’s been!
They say life begins at 50, but I’ve decided not to wait that long. This Wednesday, I’m boarding a flight to Athens, Greece. This will be my first time ever leaving the country. Yes, ever. And while my cruise aboard Virgin Voyages’ Resilient Lady doesn’t set sail until Sunday, I’m heading over early to breathe it all in on my own time, in my own way.
