Trends That Are In This Fall/Winter Season
Let’s talk about the trends that are in for Fall/Winter 2018. Now you guys know how I feel about trends. Your closet should be stocked with mostly basics, but you should also mix in trendy pieces to keep your wardrobe up to date.
Remember to use the 70/30 Rule to bring balance to your closet. To have a well balanced closet, it should be 70% classic and functional, 30% trendy and fun. Okay, let me step off my soapbox and get down to the point of this post.
Now that I have convinced you that it is okay to actually add a few trendy pieces to your closet, here are some trends that are definitely in for Fall/Winter 2018.
Florals
Can you believe florals are in again this Fall? Floral prints are a little tricky for me. It takes me a little out of my comfort zone. Flashy is just not my style, but there are some more muted ways to add a little floral to your wardrobe.
Animal Print
Some may feel that animal prints are tacky. I’m not one of those people. I actually consider it to be a neutral. A great way to add it to your wardrobe is with your shoes. My favorite pair of flats are Tory Burch animal print loafers.
Army Green
Seriously guys, this is one of my favorite colors right now. And you can find it all throughout my closet.
Burgundys
Chile if you know me, you know the color red is my jam, so I’m good with any form of it. Burgundy is the perfect shade for a cute fall look.
Plaids
Prints like plaids can be found in my closet year round but they are definitely on trend this Fall/Winter season. Everyone needs a little plaid in their closet.
